Teacher – Clarinet, saxophone & flute
Brent is originally from Hull, learning his trade through both private lessons and the Hull Music Service before going on to study at Huddersfield School of Music (now Huddersfield University). He then qualified as a secondary school music teacher and has recently retired after a successful teaching career, much of which was spent leading a music department in South Yorkshire.
Brent is also an experienced performer and conductor, having performed with and conducted many ensembles across Yorkshire. Finally, Brent is the Director of Music with the Humberside Police Concert Band, a band that he has been associated with since joining as a player, aged 17, then graduating to their solo clarinet player and eventually becoming Director of Music in 2005.
