Are you, or your students, preparing to take a digital music exam but not sure how to record yourself well? Are you concerned about filling in the online submission correctly and supplying all the relevant paperwork?
Trinity College London digital graded exams enable candidates to record their pieces/songs and technical work at a place and time of their choice and then submit the video recording via our online platform to be assessed by our expert examiners. The exams have the same academic rigour as our face-to-face exams, and candidates gain full recognition for their achievements, with the same certificate and UCAS points awarded as for the face-to-face exams.

How it works
When booking a digital exam package, you will be allocated a 30 minute time slot. You will be asked to provide details about yourself and what you will be performing on the day so that we can prepare for you and your ideal date and time for the recording. We will then allocate you your 30 minute time slot, as well as book our accompanist (if required)) and any practice room time as requested.
From our experience, it will take around 10 mins to record grades 1-3, up to 15 mins for Grade 4-5 and 20 mins for Grades 6-8. You may use your time allocated to test out the room, play through with your accompanist, or even re-record your exam if you so wish.
Once the recording is complete, our in house team will fill in all the paperwork and submit your entry as per the guidelines. You can then sit back and await your result, which should take around 2 weeks to come through.
