
Rebecca Parker is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and conductor, having first studied piano and going on to study flute under Christopher Hyde-Smith, Fellow of the Royal College of Music and founding chairman of the British Flute Society.
Rebecca has a keen interest in classical, orchestral, and choral music and after performing and recording in orchestras and ensembles and as a soloist, in 2019, Rebecca trained as a conductor with the Royal Philharmonic Society under conductor Alice Farnham.
With a wide range of performance and recording experience in popular musics, Rebecca is also an active supporter of community-based initiatives promoting local music. She is the co-host of Sunplugged, a jam session offering the opportunity for local amateur musicians to play together in front of an audience and has performed in a variety of bands, currently playing lap steel guitar with East Yorkshire based Hawaiian band Island Style.
Rebecca conducts the Eclectic Ensemble, an Eclectic Music initiative aimed at supporting adults to develop their musicianship skills by rehearsing and playing together.
