“A Very Eclectic Christmas”, our annual Christmas concert extravaganza, featuring both our wind orchestra and symphony orchestra along with the Hull Freedom Chorus.

Come and join the Eclectic Ensemble for a wonderful afternoon of free music in the fabulous surroundings of Maister House.

The programme will include music from Mozart, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Jurassic Park and Journey – Don’t Stop Believin‘.

The performance starts at 2pm and is FREE ENTRY!

This year, Eclectic Music is working with the wonderful Stella Munthali and Black Heritage of Hull for their first ever festival, Sound of our Skin (SOOS) as part of Black History month.

The Black Heritage of Hull Says:

We are excited to announce that ‘The Sound of Our Skin’ is launching this year on the 5th and 6th October 2024 and we want you to be a part of it! This festival is all about promoting racial equality, celebrating diversity and amplifying marginalized voices .

With various events taking place across multiple venues along The High Street in Hull, live performances will be happening within The Street Life Museum.

We believe that music has the power to break through barriers and connect people from all backgrounds. That’s why we are calling on all musicians from different cultures and backgrounds to come together for this incredible event.

Whether you play rock, hip hop, jazz, or classical music, we want to hear from you! It doesn’t matter if you’re a solo artist or part of a band, we welcome all musical styles.

Join us in making a difference through the power of music. Come and showcase your talents and support a great cause.

Our saxophone ensemble will be performing a recital at Hull Minster at 12 noon on Saturday October 19th. We’ll be performing a wide variety of music from a solo saxophone up to 10+ players, demonstrating the range and versatility of the saxophone family.
